CIP, malt milling, operating brewhouse, wort transfers, yeast pitching, fermentation monitoring, filtration, and general cleaning.Strictly follow recipes and standard operating procedures while recommending ways of improving them.Maintain a sanitary environment, which includes but not limited to cleaning floors, walls, tanks, and ceilings.Work closely with other brewing staff to execute and pass off tasks effectively.Review completed process paperwork and ensure accurate data entry.Responsible for proper handling of yeast.Responsible for finished beer handling including but not limited to carbonation, DO monitoring and recording, and packaging preparation.

Responsible for CIP and preparation of fermentation and bright beer tanks.Responsible for wort production from brewhouse, including but not limited to raw material handling, milling, mash/lauter operation, wort boiling, cooling, and CIP.Proper sampling and analysis of fermenting and finished beer.Additionally, operators maximize barrels per labor hours, minimize re-work costs, eliminate production scheduling delays, and deliver the highest possible quality product to internal and external customers. This is a shift job and the shift may vary depending on the needs of the brewery. When helping in the packaging functions, the operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the packaging equipment, as well as the cleanliness and organization of the areas of the production floor that packaging occupies. In the brewing capacity, this position includes the operation and basic maintenance of raw materials handling, brewhouse operations, cellar management, and filtration procedures. The Brewing and Packaging Operator is a hybrid position supporting both the brewing and packaging departments.
